1. Service Description

Welcome to Solar Meta (hereinafter referred to as the "Service"). The Service is provided by Shenzhen Sunray Software Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," or "our").

The Service is an intelligent energy management application designed for photovoltaic (PV) inverter monitoring, providing features including device binding, real-time data monitoring, power generation statistics, fault alerts, and firmware upgrades.

By registering for or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms"). If you do not agree to any of these Terms, please do not register for or use the Service.

For information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Service, please refer to our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms.

2. Account Registration and Security

  1. You must provide true, accurate, and complete registration information, including a valid email address.
  2. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including safeguarding your password. You bear responsibility for any losses arising from password disclosure.
  3. You agree to be legally responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  4. If you discover any unauthorized use of your account or security vulnerabilities, please notify us immediately at software@gdsunray.com.
  5. Each user may register only one account. We reserve the right to merge or deactivate duplicate accounts.

3. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  1. Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  2. Infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legitimate rights and interests of others
  3. Distribute malware, viruses, or conduct any form of cyber attack
  4. Access others' devices, accounts, or data without authorization
  5. Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Service or servers connected to the Service
  6. Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  7. Use the Service for any fraudulent or misleading activities
  8. Use the Service for commercial purposes or resale without authorization

4. Device Data

  1. Data Ownership: Operational data generated by PV inverters bound to your account belongs to you. We collect and process this data solely within the scope of providing the Service.
  2. Data Authorization: When you bind a device, you authorize us to collect, transmit, store, and process device operational data to provide monitoring, statistics, and alert services.
  3. Data Accuracy: The accuracy of device operational data depends on the inverter hardware itself. We do not guarantee the absolute accuracy or completeness of the data, which is provided for reference purposes only.
  4. Device Authorization: You confirm that you have the right to bind the relevant device and authorize us to collect its data. If you are not the owner of the device, you should obtain authorization from the device owner.

5. Firmware Upgrades

  1. The Service supports over-the-air (OTA) firmware upgrades for inverters. Please maintain a stable Bluetooth connection between the device and your phone during the upgrade process and do not interrupt the upgrade.
  2. Firmware upgrades may involve risks, including but not limited to upgrade failure or temporary device unavailability. We will make every effort to ensure the safety of upgrades but shall not be liable for device damage caused by upgrades, unless such damage results from our gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
  3. We may release software updates from time to time to improve or fix the Service. You agree to receive such updates, some of which may require your manual confirmation before installation.
  4. You agree to promptly install App updates and security patches released by us. We shall not be liable for any losses or security issues arising from your failure to update the App in a timely manner.

6. Intellectual Property

All content in the Service, including but not limited to software code, interface design, text, images, logos, and icons, is protected by the Copyright Law, Trademark Law, and other intellectual property laws of the People's Republic of China. You may not copy, modify, distribute, transmit, display, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

7. Disclaimer

  1. The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the availability, accuracy, timeliness, security, or fitness of the Service.
  2. We do not warrant that the Service will operate uninterrupted or error-free, nor that all defects will be corrected.
  3. We shall not be liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, policy changes, or network failures.
  4. Power generation statistics and device operational data provided by the Service are for reference purposes only and do not constitute investment or business decision advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  1. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data loss, or business interruption.
  2. Our total liability for any claims arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (if the Service is free of charge, the liability cap shall be RMB 100).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us, our affiliates, employees, and agents harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to your breach of these Terms or your infringement of any third party's legitimate rights and interests.

10. Service Changes and Termination

  1. Service Changes: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time without prior notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance of material changes.
  2. Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account under the following circumstances:
    • You violate any provision of these Terms
    • Required by applicable laws or regulations
    • The account has been inactive for an extended period
    • For security or other legitimate reasons
  3. User Deletion: You may close your account at any time through the account deletion feature in the App. After deletion, your account data will be removed within a reasonable period, except for data required to be retained by law.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The modified Terms will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you in advance through in-app notifications or your registered email. Continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  1. The formation, performance, interpretation, and dispute resolution of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (excluding the laws of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan).
  2. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to the competent People's Court in Shenzhen, China for litigation.

13. Miscellaneous

  1. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the Service and supersede any prior oral or written agreements.
  2. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
  3. Our failure to exercise or delay in exercising any right under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right.
